Abstract
The results show that bus transportation activities in Thua Thien Hue have not really brought practical benefits to the State, businesses and passengers. Because of the State management agency's viewpoint, this activity depends greatly on subsidies and other preferential policies of local authorities; from the point of view of bus business enterprises, th return on investment capital, the efficiency of capital turnover, revenue and profit brought to enterprises are not commensurate with the investment costs for operation; according to passengers ussing bus transport servieces, the level of convenience, route coverage and service quality is not high, so it has not attracted a large number of passengers to use the bus and cannot replace other individual vehicles. However, overall, bus transportation has contributed greatly for passenger transportation, environmental improvement, minimizing traffic accidents, contributed to change the urban appearance.
